Do you think a McDonald’s cheeseburger patty is really made from 100% beef?
On September 22, 2026, the non-governmental organization “Georgia — Information Center for Combating Corruption” officially applied to the Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau and submitted a purchased meat product for examination.
What the Examination Will Determine
At the organization’s request, the examination is intended to determine the composition of the patty and the possible presence of other components.
In particular, the examination is expected to determine whether the product contains, in addition to beef:
- pork;
- chicken;
- soy;
- other possible products or components.
Examination Results Will Be Made Public
The organization states that it will publish the results in full as soon as the official forensic conclusion is received.
A final assessment will be made only on the basis of the official examination results.
